About Kristin

Hi, my name is Kristin Thewes, I am a 2014 Libero playing for Austin Performance Club Volleyball 17's Tsunami team. I also play for the Southwest Preparatory Conference Division I Champion St. Stephen's Episcopal High School Team.

I was born and raised in the small town of Sarasota, Florida, where I grew up swimming and playing just about any sport imaginable. When I turned ten and moved to Westlake Village, California I even played full tackle football for the Westlake Braves all boys team. I was honored by Billie Jean King for breaking barriers at her 2006 Billie Awards. It was an experience I'll never forget, and miss every day! When I finally moved to good ole Dripping Springs, TX, my volleyball career really took off. I played for two years on the Dripping Springs High School Varsity team. During the summer before my junior year, I made the decision to challenge myself academically by attending and boarding at St. Stephens Episcopal School in Austin, TX. The year I moved to SSES we won the school's third consecutive SPC Division I Championship Title, and plan to bring home a fourth title during my senior year. In addition to indoor and sand volleyball, I also enjoy surfing, basketball, skiing, movies, and traveling!

I absolutely love playing volleyball, and fell in love with the sport when I first started. I work hard both on and off the court. Volleyball is a huge part of my life and I am looking forward to playing in college.
